Grease Trap Cleaning Naples

Serving Over 40 Years | Licensed • Local • Trusted

Naples' Trusted Grease Trap Cleaning Company

Naples sits in one of the most green-friendly climates in Florida. Gulf humidity and year-round heat drive FOG accumulation into commercial grease traps faster than in most markets. Restaurants on 5th Avenue South, cafes near Tin City, hotel kitchens along Tamiami Trail, food trucks, school cafeterias, and commercial kitchens across Collier County share the same compliance risk: a full trap means health department action, and in Naples, inspections are not rare.

Crews Environmental provides grease trap cleaning Naples food service operators have relied on since 1982. We handle restaurant grease trap cleaning, commercial grease trap cleaning, and grease interceptor cleaning for operations of every size across Southwest Florida. Call 239-332-1986 to schedule service.

Why Drain Fields Fail — What a Proper Repair Really Looks Like

Signs Your Grease Trap Needs Immediate Service

Slow Draining Sinks

Slow kitchen sink drainage is FOG buildup in the trap or feed lines. It is a grease trap maintenance issue that will not be resolved without a proper inspection and pump-out.

Foul Odors

Decomposing fats, oils, and grease produces strong sulfur odors. Naples heat makes them worse. When odors reach the dining area, the trap is past due for grease trap service in Naples.

Grease Overflow

Oily residue backing up into sinks means the trap is at capacity. Grease interceptor cleaning is now mandatory. Continued overflow puts Collier County discharge compliance at direct risk.

Backups

A kitchen drain backup means FOG-saturated wastewater has no outlet. Unsanitary conditions follow immediately, and a health department compliance violation is likely the result of any subsequent inspection.

Increased Pest Activity

Flies and cockroaches near kitchen drains signal decomposing grease inside the trap. Scheduled grease trap service removes the source rather than treating symptoms.

Failed Inspection Risk

Collier County inspectors check the condition of grease traps during routine visits. A non-compliant trap is grounds for a failed inspection. Regular grease trap inspection by a licensed professional is the most direct way to stay ahead of that outcome.

How Often Should Grease Traps Be Cleaned in Naples?

The industry standard is the 25% rule: schedule a grease trap pump-out before FOG and solids reach one-quarter of the trap’s capacity. Naples kitchen volume and climate typically compress that timeline. Collier County may impose mandatory intervals for high-volume operations. Preventative grease trap maintenance on a fixed schedule costs far less than an emergency response.

Business Type

Recommended Frequency

High-volume restaurants (5th Ave, US-41)

Every 30 days

Mid-volume restaurants and bars

Every 45–60 days

Cafes, small food service

Hotels and resorts

What Happens If You Don't Clean Your Grease Trap?

Ignoring grease trap maintenance in Naples kitchens leads directly to health department fines, sewer line blockages, and emergency plumbing costs during service hours. Environmental contamination from overflow carries separate regulatory penalties under Florida law. In serious cases, a business shutdown order follows. Prolonged FOG damage to internal components often results in full interceptor replacement well before the end of its expected service life.

Under-Sink Grease Traps

Compact indoor units installed below kitchen sinks. Common in smaller Naples food service operations. We handle residential grease trap cleaning and commercial under-sink units with no extended kitchen downtime.

Top Causes of Septic System Overflows and How to Prevent Them

Outdoor Grease Interceptors

In-ground interceptors serve high-volume restaurants, hotels, and resorts. Grease interceptor pumping on these units requires vacuum equipment and the complete extraction of wastewater. We service all interceptor sizes across Collier County and as a trusted Lee County grease trap service provider.

Pump Truck

Automatic Grease Recovery Units

These units continuously skim FOG but still require regular wastewater extraction and component inspection. Our interceptor maintenance service includes both a mechanical check and a full grease clearance at every visit.

Our Step-by-Step Service Approach

1

On-Site Assessment

The technician checks the trap, measures FOG levels, and confirms access before any work begins. This keeps the job scoped correctly from the start. This tells us what we’re dealing with, so nothing gets missed during the cleaning.

2

Complete Extraction of FOG and Wastewater

Full vacuum extraction of fats, oils, grease, and wastewater. Sludge removal is completed at this stage regardless of how long the trap has gone without service.

3

Thorough Interior Cleaning

Interior walls are scraped and wiped after extraction. Removing this residue layer prevents rapid FOG re-accumulation and eliminates the odors that carry between service visits.

4

Operational Check & Service Documentation

After the job, we confirm the trap is working and hand you written documentation for your health department file.

Lower-volume operations may be managed every 90 days. A grease trap inspection confirms the right interval. As a licensed Naples commercial plumbing services provider, Crews Environmental keeps your operation up to date with those requirements.

A grease trap is a smaller under-sink unit used in lower-volume kitchens. A grease interceptor is a larger outdoor system built for high-volume commercial operations. Most visits take one to two hours, depending on trap size, FOG levels, and access. Larger outdoor interceptors or units that are well overdue will take longer. Residential grease trap cleaning for under-sink units is typically faster. We work to minimize disruption to your kitchen operation at every job.

Testimonial

I called Crews Environmental 2 days ago to have my septic tank emptied. The rep (sorry, I forgot her name) was friendly, polite, and helpful. I told her that I had used Crews Environmental when I bought my home and because they were so friendly and professional back then, I wanted to use their service again. She was able to schedule me for yesterday.; however, due to the thunderstorms and concern about lightening, she called me yesterday afternoon to reschedule to Monday. However, Raul, the technician who was just here, called called me last night at 6:50pm to ask if he could come today. He just left a few minutes ago.He showed me how full the tank was when he got the cover off and before he started the vacuum. He told me that he'd let me know when it was empty so I could go see for myself that it had been completely emptied. He said he likes for people to see for themselves that he did empty the tank, rather than just assuming it was done. When Raul had emptied the tank, he asked me to flush my toilets so that he could be sure nothing was stuck in the pipes. He said if the toilets would not have flushed, he would try sticking the vacuum hose into the pipe going to the toilets and hopefully suction out whatever was blocking it. Both toilets both flushed just like normal.. He showed me the empty tank and it is completely empty.I will happily continue to use the services of Crews Environmental. It's nice to work with such professional and friendly people. To Crews Environmental: thanks for such great customer service!!!
